Football prediction terminology
The terms used on FootIQ, in one place.

- BTTS
- Both teams to score: each team scores at least once.
- Calibration
- Adjusting probabilities so stated percentages match observed frequencies.
- Confidence
- On FootIQ, the final probability of a prediction in percent.
- Correct score
- The exact final score of a match.
- Daily Combo
- A set of legs (team wins and over 1.5 goals), each settled separately.
- Expected goals (xG)
- The number of goals a team would score on average from the chances it created.
- HT/FT
- Half-time/full-time: the result at the break and at the end (e.g. draw/home).
- Implied probability
- The probability contained in bookmaker odds (about 1 ÷ decimal odds, before margin).
- Leg
- One selection inside a combo.
- Over/under
- More or fewer total goals than a line such as 1.5.
- Pending
- A prediction whose match has not finished.
- Regular time
- 90 minutes plus stoppage time; excludes extra time and penalties.
- Settlement
- Deciding whether a prediction won, lost or is void.
- Void
- A prediction on a cancelled, abandoned or postponed match; not counted in win rates.
- Win rate
- Won ÷ (won + lost), excluding void and pending.
